Yukiko Kato has 22 years of experience as a venture capitalist. Since 2016, she leads the management of several CVC funds.
Prior to joining SBI, she worked at the Investment Banking Division of ING Securities Limited. After her time at ING Securities, she joined the launch of BioVision Capital, a specialized VC within SBI Group focusing on bio-healthcare. In 2005, she transferred to SBI Investment where she involves in hand-on investment.
In 2015, she ranked first on the Forbes Japan Midas List(the most influential venture capitalist ranking in Japan).
She is a committee member of the Open Innovation Committee at the Japan Venture Capital Association.
