Yuriko Gibo

After gaining experience as a coordinator in Silicon Valley, Gibo contributed to her hometown of Okinawa by establishing a platform for the social implementation of research outcomes, including working at a research organization and founding the Okinawa Technology Licensing Organization (TLO). For over 20 years, she has promoted industry-academia-government collaboration both domestically and internationally, including leading large-scale projects in the medical healthcare field at Keio University. She currently oversees impact investing and public relations in the deep tech sector. She serves as Chair of the Regional and Practical Subcommittee of the Impact Consortium, Director of the Industry-Academia Collaboration Society, and Steering Committee Member for the Impact-Oriented Finance Declaration. Additionally, she is involved in impact talent development initiatives for innovation creation (Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Keio University, FY2024), Member of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries SBIR Support Advisory Committee (2025), and Chair of the Okinawa Prefecture Startup Growth Acceleration Support Project Review Committee (2025). After graduating from Waseda University, she studied at the London School of Economics, University of London, Stanford University, and the University of California San Diego (founded by Japanese government).
