In an era where technology drives homogenization, how should we reconsider our own ""bodies"" and ""regions""? In this session, Vivienne Sato and Hiromi Okuda engage in a dialogue while adorned in spectacular ""headdresses"" that assert their very existence as living art.
To Vivienne, a headdress is not mere decoration. It is ""Overhead Architecture""—a structure that visualizes individual thought. It is also ""Walking Architecture,"" born from the vernacular—the unique materials and cultural context of the land.
What chemistry will arise when these singular physical expressions collide? Asserting that ""We are walking creations,"" the duo will challenge fixed mindsets and explore a future where physicality and technology merge within our communities. (This is an intimate, small-group session.)
